Kaiyo Academy has matchless opportunities for learning called “societies”. These are hosted by House Masters who are dispatched by supporting companies to live with students in the Houses. The House Masters impart their wealth of experience, knowledge and skills onto the students, thus imparting practical knowledge as close to real life as possible. Fresh and original societies are constantly being planned and organized devised and held. They cover a diverse range of subjects including lectures on the techniques and joys of photography, a tea-making workshop, university life consultation, and guidance for students aiming to become doctors. The students can individually select which "society" they wish to attend from the ones held after supper or on the weekends. Distinctive to our school, these “societies” will undoubtedly broaden, deepen, and enrich students’ learning at Kaiyo Academy.

Kaiyo Academy was established with the logistic and financial support of many prestigious and influential Japanese companies that have contributed significantly to the growth of the development of the global economy as well. A typical example of the matchless educational opportunities provided by Kaiyo Academy is regular company visits. Students visit the workplaces of our supporting companies, and see firsthand how business is really conducted. Being away from the school and coming into contact with workers on the front line of business will leave a vivid impression and give students clear ideas on their future paths after graduation.

These talks are called “Special Lectures” and there are many opportunities to attend one.
